Privacy Policy
This page explains what information High Desert Web Designs collects when you use this site or work with the studio, how that information is used, and how to ask for a copy or deletion of it.

What we collect
- Contact form submissions. When you send a message through the contact form, we receive the name, email address, and message text you enter. We ask only for what is needed to reply to you.
- Client and billing details. For active engagements we keep the business name, contact details, and invoice records needed to deliver the work and issue invoices.
- Basic server and hosting logs. Our hosting platform records standard request information such as IP address, browser user agent, and requested page. These logs support security and troubleshooting.
Email delivery
When you submit the contact form, your message is emailed to the studio so we can respond, and a confirmation email is sent to the address you provided. Invoice and project notifications are sent the same way to clients during an engagement.
Email is delivered through our email service provider on our behalf. Any non-essential email we send includes an unsubscribe link; using it stops that category of email without affecting messages that are part of an active project, such as invoices.
Payments
Client invoices are processed by Stripe. When you pay an invoice, your card details are entered on Stripe's payment page and handled by Stripe — the studio never receives or stores card numbers. We keep the invoice record itself (amount, line items, paid status) for our business records.
Analytics and cookies
This site does not run advertising cookies and does not sell or share your information with advertisers. Cookies and browser storage are used only where they are needed for the site to function, such as keeping an administrator signed in.
If we add a website analytics tool in the future, it will be used to understand aggregate traffic patterns — which pages are visited and where visits come from — not to identify you personally. This page will be updated when that changes.
How long we keep information
Contact enquiries are kept while we are in conversation and for a reasonable period afterward in case you follow up. Project files, invoices, and payment records are kept as long as needed for the engagement and for ordinary business and tax record-keeping. Server logs rotate on our hosting platform's normal schedule.
Requesting a copy or deletion
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask for corrections, or ask us to delete it. Email the studio and we will confirm what we hold and act on your request. We may need to keep invoice and payment records where business record-keeping requires it, and we will tell you if that applies.
